Ann McDaniel is the Executive Director of the West Virginia SILC. She has worked in the independent living and advocacy field since 1985, beginning with eleven years at a CIL followed by her current position. Under her direction, the SILC has secured 501(c)(3) non-profit status, developed multiple State Plans for Independent Living (SPILs) and sponsored and organized multiple WV Disability (and Youth) Caucuses. Ann serves as a mentor to other SILCs across the country, provides training & technical assistance through the national SILC Net project, has taught on-line courses and webinars through IL Net, and has provided training and facilitation at the state, regional and national level.
